Squishing ten extra hot sweaty bodies onto a public bus screeching through the mountainous towns in Mexico, keeping tabs on our children while trying desperately not to faint from the heat, just isn’t appealing to me. If its for you, please do tell. I’d love to hear your stories of travel by bus.
The bus I’m talking about is a personally owned bus. Those coach buses or school buses converted into RV’s. That’s my kind of travel…and we’re about to embark on that for ourselves.
When we sold S/V San Mateo we went back to land-based travel. A new mode of transportation for us…a skoolie.
Our kids love Mythology, especially Greek, Roman & Celtic. So it was of no surprise that as soon as we purchased a school bus they were anxious to dub her Argo. And so here she is, Our Argo….
Although we’re currently in the conversion stage, we’re living in it already and looking to start traveling a bit this summer on Vancouver Island before setting out to travel by bus south for the winter. Whether its just to the USA or its onward to Mexico (and Beyond), time will tell.
You can keep up with our conversion by joining the U4L News. I’m very excited to see how our first bus conversion all turns out.
