One, two, three, four, possibly even a whole lot more! How many wheels are you traveling with? It doesn’t matter…there’s no Right or Wrong way to travel by land. Just get moving!
Don’t have wheels? Don’t let that stop you. There’s backpacking, hitch-hiking, cycling, taking the train or other public transportation. No matter how you want to do it there’s a style of travel suited for you. Let’s explore them all, and see who’s already doing them.
We’ve traveled with our big family all over North America (which includes Mexico) with 4 wheels…we could say it was 8 wheels for our first drive across Canada. It was 2 vehicles, each with 4 wheels…does that count as 8?
We’ve done Canada to Mexico a few times with a big 15 passenger van and rooftop tents. We’ve done ground tents, too.
Other ways to travel by land that are on my radar are… hopping on Eurorail and exploring Europe. Jumping on the back of a motorcycle, squeezing Everette as we hug the corners of an Italian coastal highway. That will wait for now. But the time will come!
For now we’re hitting the road with a bus: Our Argo.
How are you doing it? Drop us a line and let us know how you’re traveling by land.
