My bedroom is my sanctuary. It’s like a refuge, and it’s where I do a fair amount of designing – at least conceptually, if not literally. ~Vera Wang
Privacy is one of those things in short supply when living in a tiny house whether its a stationary house or something on wheels such as a skoolie or RV. So getting an actual door on the parents space is a big deal. Bonus that our skoolie bedroom door is so cute & creative, due to the talent of my man.
We devoted a bit more space to our master bedroom than we logistically needed for sleeping, because of course sleeping isn’t all that us parents are going to do in there. I also like to cuddle with kids and share read-aloud books with them. Laars often offers me a foot massage with essential oils in the evening when I’m headed to bed. Everette often takes an afternoon nap in here. I listen to chakra cleanse on my computer, or go in my private spot for meditation or time of reflection. So this space is used quite often throughout the day, not just for sleeping.
Situated at the end of our hallway this door is a pleasing break from the l-o-n-g and narrow look of the bus. We refer to it as our hobbit door; we crawl through it into another world on the other side.
